New online casino in Poland: what is actually new

The word "new" applied to casinos carries four different meanings; only one leaves a document you can check.

Ten casinos that hold no Polish permit. Every column is copied from the operator’s licence record and from the operator’s own terms, never from an opinion. A blank cell means the figure is not published — it never means zero and it never means “no limit”.

Vave buys the one link that leaves these pages, and that purchase is the whole of the arrangement. Its terms set a deadline rather than a promise: clause 8.1 gives the operator up to 3 days to deal with a payout request, and clause 8.8 says that anything above 50,000 USDT leaves in equal instalments over as much as 30 days. We looked its licence number up ourselves on 2 September 2026 in the Curaçao Gaming Authority register: OGL/2024/1676/0905, held by Latcas B.V., issued 19 May 2025, status active.

Four meanings of the word “new”

When an operator talks about a “new online casino”, they may mean four different things. First, a new entry in the register: a reference number issued in a given year. Second, a young domain, that is, an internet address registered recently. Third, a young brand that is just beginning to operate on the market. Fourth, a refreshed website or a new interface of an existing service.

These four things do not go hand in hand. A register entry may be new, while the company has been operating for a decade. A domain may be fresh, and the brand moved from another address. A redesign of the site does not make the casino a new entity. Only the first of these meanings leaves a hard document: an entry in the register that can be read and verified.

That is why, instead of asking “is it a new casino?”, it is worth asking the question the register answers directly: does a given internet address appear on the list of domains that offer gambling games contrary to the Act? That question settles the issue of legality in the Polish legal order. The other meanings of the word “new” are descriptive and carry no information about legal status. The register of prohibited domains answers exactly that question.

Text of the Polish Gambling Act published next to the register of banned domains
Ministerstwo Finansów, the Ministry of Finance, keeps the statute at the same address as the register. This is the document that art. 29a comes from, the ban on running internet gambling without a permit.

A licence number is not a birth certificate

A licence number, especially in the format issued by Curaçao, looks like a date. Take the entry OGL/2024/1676/0905. The readable segment is the year 2024. It is easy to assume that a casino with such a number was established in 2024. That is a vicious circle: the year in the number comes from the register, not from the company's history.

The register in Curaçao assigns numbers in a specific format and has done so for years. When a casino that has operated since 2013 goes through a new registration process or receives a new certificate, the current year appears in the number. An old entity gets a new entry. That is not an exception but the rule of a system that records permits at the moment they are issued.

Therefore, the phrase “licence from 2024” proves nothing. It does not say when the company was founded, when it started accepting players, or whether it has experience. It says only when the entry was placed in the register in its current form. If a competitor uses such a phrase as praise for freshness or as an accusation that the casino is new and untested, they are mixing two different things. A date in the register is not a brand's birth date.

Five examples from our table

In the comparison we have prepared, there are five positions where the year operations started is earlier than the year in the registration number. Cloudbet gives 2013 as the start of its operations, and its reference is OGL/2024/328/0599. Bitsler started in 2015, and its application bears the number OGL/2024/930/0387. Vave reports a start in 2022, and its entry is OGL/2024/1676/0905. Wild.io also points to 2022, and its number is OGL/2024/210/0198. Shuffle declares 2023, and the reference reads OGL/2024/1337/0628.

Note that the difference between the start year and the year in the number ranges from one to eleven years. Cloudbet operated for over a decade before receiving its current number. If you relied solely on the number, you would take this casino to be younger than it actually is.

These examples show that “new online casinos” in the register sense may at the same time be old brands. When a competitor writes about a “licence from 2024” in the context of an accusation that the casino is new, they commit a logical error. The year in the number does not testify to age or quality. It testifies to the date of entry. On our homepage we explain how we read such records.

A gap in data is not evidence of youth

In the file we reviewed, there were one hundred brands. Only eleven of them had the field with the year operations started filled in. Those eleven are: Bitsler 2015, Cloudbet 2013, CoinPoker 2018, Oshi Casino 2015, Rakebit 2024, Rocketpot 2018, Wild.io 2022, FortuneJack 2014, Bspin 2018, Nitrobetting 2013 and Sportbet.one 2018. For the remaining eighty-nine brands, that field remained empty.

An empty field means that we have not read that information from the available sources. It does not mean that the casino was established in 2025 or that it has no history. It is simply a lack of data in our comparison. Often operators do not publish the date of foundation in a visible place, and we do not keep private registers.

Therefore, one cannot draw the conclusion that because there is no start year, the casino is new. Such a conclusion would be unjustified. On the other hand, if the casino itself declares 2024, and we have no confirmation in the register, we treat that as a marketing declaration until we find a document.

Front page of bitsler.com
Oyine N.V. runs this address on a Certificate of Operation, not on a licence: clause 1.1 says the application OGL/2024/930/0387 is still in progress with the Curaçao Gaming Control Board. Clause 4.3 names no threshold for documents and leaves the timing to the operator.

A new name, the same company

It often happens that one company runs several brands. In our data we see that one entry from Anjouan, number ALSI-202508056-FI2, issued to the company Novatrix SRL, supports five different casinos: Oshi Casino, PlayAmo, Slotum, Winz.io and Bitkingz. Similarly, one entry from Curaçao, OGL/2024/1307/0748, belongs to the company Scores55 Tech B.V. and covers 7Bit Casino, KatsuBet and Mirax. In turn, OGL/2023/111/0069, issued to Moon Technologies B.V., covers Bitcasino.io and Livecasino.io.

For a player who had a problem with one casino and moved to another, this information matters. If both brands belong to the same company, then the move may not provide the expected protection. Complaints, withdrawal policies or the way disputes are handled may be shared. Before you change casinos after an unsuccessful registration, check who stands behind the new name.

However, similarity of numbers does not always mean sharing. Instant Casino cites OGL/2024/1788/1030, which opens a certificate issued to Axenora Strategic Services N.V., a company from Curaçao with number 164834. CoinCasino, in turn, cites ALSI-142311005-FI2, an entry in the Anjouan register on behalf of Igloo Ventures SRL. These are two different jurisdictions, two different companies, no common entry. Even though the numbers look similar, there is no connection between them. Hence the rule: check, do not assume.

A number after the entry is revoked

In our file, five brands have an entry with the status “revoked”: BC.Game, Bets.io, Betriot, Casinoly and Zet Casino. Interestingly, their websites still display the licence number in the footer. That means the presence of a number on the site is not equivalent to a valid permit.

The footer is the operator's declaration. The register is an official document. When these two sources contradict each other, one should trust the register. If the entry has been revoked, the casino should not use the number as evidence of legality, but it does.

Therefore, it is always worth checking the official register and verifying the status of a particular number. You can do that using our guide on operator documents, where we explain what information can be read from entries in Curaçao and Anjouan. See how we read documents.

Newness says nothing about the rules

The word “new” carries no information about the terms of use of a casino. Withdrawal rules, transaction limits or waiting periods are written in each operator's terms and differ between brands regardless of their age. For example, Vave in clause 8.1 reserves up to 3 days to process a withdrawal, and in clause 8.8 divides amounts above 50 000 USDT into equal instalments spread over a maximum of 30 days. Bitcasino.io in clause 6.1 for fiat currencies writes up to 3 business days, but for cryptocurrencies it gives no time. Wild.io in clause 9.6 sets a withdrawal limit of 100 000 USD per week.

You see that a young casino may have the same or more stringent rules as an older one. Age does not determine the content of the terms. Before you fund your account, you should read the documents of a given operator, especially those concerning withdrawals and limits.

Moreover, we have not individually confirmed the clauses concerning restricted countries for each operator. Therefore, read the terms of your chosen casino before making a deposit to avoid misunderstandings.

Check for yourself in the register

The most reliable tool for a Polish player is the official register of domains that offer gambling games contrary to the Act. It is kept by the Ministry of Finance on the basis of Article 15f of the Gambling Act, and it has operated since 1 April 2017. You will find it at hazard.mf.gov.pl.

The register answers one question: is a given domain on the list of prohibited ones? If so, the site operates without a Polish permit and a Polish user may violate the Act by using it. If it is not in the register, that does not automatically mean it is legal; it simply has not been entered.

It is this register answer that is the only hard fact on which you can base your decision. The rest, that is, the year in the number, the age of the brand or the look of the site, are marketing elements that do not change the legal status. Learn more about the register.

A brand that calls itself a “new online casino” may have years of activity behind it, and conversely, a fresh entry does not guarantee honesty. Instead of trusting words, check the documents. Browse our casino reviews to see what a practical analysis of contracts looks like.

Remember also that each operator has its own list of countries from which it does not accept players. Before you create an account, make sure Poland is not on that list by reading the terms. That is a key step that cannot be skipped. Check how we verify identity to avoid problems with withdrawal.
